This letterbox is in Purgatory Chasm State Park off Rt 146 in Sutton, MA.
Park your car and walk to the main Chasm entrance. The Chasm Loop Trail is the one you want and it goes straight down the middle of the chasm. It is marked by Blue Blazes. Follow it to the end of the main chasm where the trail turns left, continue on the trail, following the blue blazes. Once you turn left, follow the rocky path uphill to where there is a small level clear area. You will see a rock by your left foot with a blue blaze on it. From this rock take 10 paces (steps)straight ahead, turn left and take about 13 steps which will take you between two rocks to the edge of the chasm. Step down once onto a rock. Turn left. The letterbox is under the rock that is directly in front of you below the rock that you are standing on.
