Box of the Month style LB with new stamps exchanged around the first of each month. Check this listing for updates on the new stamps in the box.

Messalonskee Stream Trail. Constructed by the Maine Conservation Corps in 2006. Distance to LB is only 1/4 mile, but the full trail is 2.5 miles to the Rice Rips Road, 5 miles round trip. There was a sign posted for bees and wasps in the area, but I didn't see any, it was raining when I placed this box.

Park in the parking area and enter through the fence. Continue and walk through opening in fence at end of fenced area. Follow trail through the open power line area and reenter woods. Trail is marked with white with red cross blazes. Notice the 1/4 Mile Trail Marker, a nearby tree is marked with orange paint. Cross the wooden bridge over the stream. At the end of the bridge, look straight ahead for a solitary tree (believe it is oak). Along the trunk you will find what you have come for. Beneath a flat rock and brush. Please rehide in the exact same spot and make sure it is hidden from site with plenty of brush and sticks.

I was lucky enough to be at YNP during the time of the full moon. I saw many Coyotes. This Folk Art inspired stamp is a memory of what I saw.

Box 1 - Coyote Moon
Box 2 - Y.N.P. Grizz
