This letterbox is located in Cook Forest State Park.
From the east, take Exit 78 off of Interstate 80, then PA 36 north directly to the park in Cooksburg.
From the west, take Exit 60 off of Interstate 80, then take PA Route 66 north to Leeper. From Leeper, follow PA Route 36 south, seven miles to the park.
This box was placed very early on a misty, foggy morning. There were several deer in the area at the time. If you are quiet you might see some too!
Take River Road until you reach a sign on your left that says, "River Cabins, Henry Run, Picnic Area." There are restrooms here and a small playground. Follow the Cook Trail. Keep going through the wooded area past the creek on your left. Go up the hill. Stay to the left. Pass the giant rocks on your left. Stop and read about Healthy Forests. Go past the CCC Dynamite Shack. Cross the bridge and follow the Cook Trail sign. Count off 100 steps from the sign.
Cross the natural log "bridge" if you are adventurous, or find a narrow place to cross over the small creek to the fox hollow at the base of the large pine. The tree has long exposed roots that are growing over a large rock. Uncover the rocks in the hollow to reveal the SLY FOX.
