Take Highway 183 Bypass to the south side of Hays where our history started;
the trail head where the supply laden wagons to Fort Dodge departed.
To the right of the entrance are three stone posts aligned to form a “V”,
which verifies this historic site’s identity.
Near the base of the pillar at the point of the “V” you will discover
the letter box which beneath a rock you must uncover.
