The design on this stamp was taken from the many black slate (?) stones that are in this cemetery. Check them out while you are here. They are very well preserved.
Owing to its close location to the marsh, greenheads and mosquito’s are abundant. Bringing bug spray is highly recommended.
This box is placed in a cemetery that has the name of a tree. After finding this cemetery, drive past the new gravestones and park in the open area before the wrought iron fence. Find the pitchfork shaped tree that the cemetery is named after. The tree is located at the corner of the wrought iron fence and the beginning of a stonewall. One arm of the tree is resting on a granite pillar. Just below the pillar, is a boulder that makes a shelf close to the ground. Under this shelf is what you seek.
