This small park was created after an old abandoned building was razed at this location and named to honor the many authors who have called, and some who still do call, Commerce home. Their names are inscribed into 22 of the bricks that make up the path just in front of the gazebo. The park is adjacent to the Commerce Public Library
Clues to the Letterbox:
The park is at the corner of Main and Park streets, next to the library which is at 1210 Park St. It is also within walking distance of the Cowhill Express Letterbox located in the Cowhill Express Coffee Co. From Hwy 50, approaching Commerce from Greenville, turn Right at the second light, Live Oak St., then Left at the stop sign at Monroe St. (0.6 mi.), then Right on the far side of the square at the stop sign on Main St., passing the Cowhill Express Coffee Co. on your left. At the end of the block this street dead ends into the park. This small letterbox is down inside the boxwood shrub on the right side of the brick path by the step into the gazebo.
