Start at the Frog Lake Snow Park parking lot on Hwy 26 across from Skyline, and be prepared for hiking, swimming, picnicking, possibly backpacking and camping, huckleberries late August, and mosquitoes. The area now boasts several new boxes. Also be prepared with a camera for great views of surrounding mountains, if you should choose to stay awhile and explore the trails. Find this box after a short, flat hike into the Twin Lakes area on the Pacific Crest Trail on Mt Hood.
SWING by the Lower of the 2 Twin Lakes for swimming and boxing. From the swimming hole, go 65-70 steps to a vague trail and 35 to a small stump. Head up the "log path". When your way is blocked, look under bark.
