We had a wonderful time at the Linganore Reggae Wine Festival. Great music, great food, great conversation with family and friends, and, of course, vino! On the way home, we took a slight detour to leave some "Vino" just for you.
From the Beltway, take I-270 North to exit 18, Boyds/Clarksburg. Bear right at the end of the ramp, and get in the left lane. Turn left at the first light, and then right at the stop sign onto Clarksburg Road. When you get to the light at MD 355, go straight. Sing one chorus of "Little Boxes" (optional). After you've gone about a mile, look for a sign on your right, "Entering Little Bennett Regional Park."
0.3 miles after that sign, you'll see the Froggy Hollow Trailhead parking area on your right. Park here, and take the Froggy Hollow Schoolhouse Trail. You'll pass through an area of extensive tree damage. Watch for a "Trail" sign with an arrow pointing left. From here, the trail winds downhill for a while, then turns to the right and levels off. Here you'll see several tall trees on the left, overgrown with vines. Three of these are very close to the path, two large ones and a smaller one in the middle.
Stand in front of the middle tree, and take a bearing of 256 degrees. You'll see a 2-in-1 tree with some rocks in front of it. There is a second tree directly behind it, not visible from where you took the bearing. At the base of the second tree, under some rocks, you'll find "Vino."
