This one is confirmed missing as of 04 July 2010. Not sure when we'll get to re-carve and re=plant this one. Stay Tuned.

One of our favorite past times in the summer is eating Crabs. Especially, with “Old Bay” seasoning. We like all kinds of seafood. We stopped on the island of Tortola during our vacation this summer and we even got to see Carribean Crabs scurry along rocks and rock ledges. This is our first Maryland box. Our very first box was left in upstate New York while visiting with family in upstate New York.

Find the Catonsville Community Park. This is located at the intersection of Old Frederick Road and North Rolling Roads. Drive around and park your car in the parking lot closest to the playground. Behind the playground is a sign to the Catonsville Community Nature Trail. This is where you want to start your adventure. If you're doing this during the summer months, you may want to use some bug spray. The short walk to the box is family friendly.

Start on the path into the woods. Very shortly, you will see a fork in the trail. Take the left fork and go down 12 wooden steps. At the bottom of the steps the trail splits again. Take the path on the left. Follow this path until you get to a T. To your left will be a faint path that comes down from the parking lot and to the right will head towards a grassy area. Stop at this T in the path, turn around and walk 5 paces (10 steps) to a tree that is approximately 2 yards from the path on your right. The diameter of this tree is approx 10 inches.(The playground parking lot should now be also to your right.) Walk around this tree and you should see a TeePee hole at the base of the tree. Covered with Twigs and Bark pieces is the treasure you seek. The grassy area down the path is a great place to sit down and stamp in.

Replace the box and cover with bark pieces so it can't be seen. To head back to the parking lot, you can either take the faint path that leads you there or you can retrace your steps back to the playground.

If this is your first letterboxing adventure, you may want to look up the clues for The Baltimore Zoo box placed by the Miller Boys and On to Canada box placed by GoFish since they are also planted at this park.
