Clue: Easy
Terrain: Moderate
Stamp: Handcarved

This is number #6 in the Solar System Series placed by The Aroostook Sleuth. This is a replacement stamp and box for the original Mars Letterbox that has gone missing. This stamp is the astronomical symbol used for Mars.

Clue: Find the planet, Mars. Head south. Right before the underpass is a small farm road to the left that goes up a short hill. I suggest parking at the bottom of this road and walking the rest of the way. There is enough space at the bottom to park and still allow a vehicle to go up or down the hill. It is unlikely this will happen, however.
Find your way to the train track. Do not cross the overpass but turn left and walk a short distance until you see a set of cedar trees in a row on your left. In front of the last cedar in that grouping will be a rock. Look under. Use caution getting to the box as the hill away from the tracks slopes sharply. You should be able to see the rock from the tracks. PLEASE REHIDE WELL! Also, use caution on the tracks. I've never seen a train on them so I'm not sure they are still used. But, you never know.

Happy Aroostook County Boxing!
