MISSING - 11/08
This letterbox was carved and assembled by a wolf cub scout pack, den 11 here in Elk Grove.
Take the 5 freeway south when starting from the capitol and exit on Elk Grove Blvd.
Turn right at the first light, West Taron into the Stonelake development. Go through six stop signs until you see the school on your right.
Pass the school and park in the park parking lot on your right. Walk south past the playground on your left and a baseball field to your right until you reach a dirt path near a fence that marks where the Stonelake wetland preserve is.
Head east on the dirt path,(turn left) You will pass a covered picnic area and another baseball field on your left.
Notice a covered bench on your right with a Stonelake Pond sign. You can read about the local vegetation and wildlife. Face the sign, with the baseball field at your back.
The letterbox is found directly behind the right pole of the sign, nestled in the bushes where two types of bushes meet.
