From I 90/94/39 take Highway 33 East toward Portage. As you come over the Highway 33 bridge you may want to park by taking an immediate left to a parking lot at Pauquette Park. If you cross Highway 33 you will see a sign that says Historic Portage on the right. This is where you start... go along the edge of the median on West Edgewater St. across the small st. you should see a brown trail sign
go across the street. The sign says Ice Age Trail
from the sign go aprox.20 paces down the hill towards the water.
Facing the river on your right you should see a clearing in the grass, on your left you should see a split old tree. Go to the tree. from the base of the tree go left around the tree and take aprox.15 paces. you should be in short grass. take aprox. 40 paces. don't be afraid to walk on this public property
to your left you should see a brick wall from this point on the river bank look for the triple tree just past the firepit. You will find the box there PS... this is our first time placing a box so give us feedback ok? :)

If you look up, this is my Grandma's house. This house was built in 1924 and eventually belonged to Zona Gale. She was the first woman to win a Pulitzer Prize for the play "Miss LuLu Bett". Zona was a woman who fought for the woman's right to vote and the freedom of all races.
