Difficulty: Easy

Location: This box is hidden at Lake Livingston State Park.

The "Lone Star" is the symbol of our great state! We love the "Lone Star" State and wanted our first letterbox to pay homage to Texas! This our first letterbox placement for us!

Directions:
The park is located 1 mile south of Livingston and 75 miles north of Houston. From Hwy 59, go 4 miles west on FM 1988, then .5 mile north on FM 3126 to Park Road 65. Pay fee and get map at Entrance Station and continue to first intersection. Turn right and drive to the first parking lot area on right, which is the trailhead for Pineywoods Nature Trail. Park by the kiosk that says "Welcome to the East Texas Pineywoods".

Clues:
Walk on boardwalk by kiosk (2 signs "No Bicycles Beyond this Point" and "Accessible Entrance"). Continue along the way but stop just before the pond at the Butterfly Garden sign. Turn around and go back to the part of the decking that has 4 trees located in the center that have been boxed off with wood frames ("Birds of a Feather" sign is here). Go back to the first tree, then turn around until you are looking at the 4 trees in front of you. Walk to the farthest tree(fourth one). Look to your left you will see five trees clustered together. Take about 8-10 steps until you come to largest tree of the five. Look behind it and you will find the "Lone Star" Letter box. There are several twigs on top of it, "X" marks the spot! There are some postcards to stamp with your stamp and mail to us for the FIRST FINDER and subsequent visitors!
