A time-limited letterbox at the North Haven Fair in North Haven CT. Our girl scout troop (#60354) is creating a letterboxing exhibit in the scouting exhibits and we want to have a real letterbox there for folks to sign in to. We set up our exhibit on Tuesday Sept 2nd between 7 & 9 PM. There is a very easy to find letterbox hung on the exhibit - just unhook it and stamp in! It was carved by my 12 year old daughter Julia! To find the scouting exhibits where our letterboxing display is - enter the fair at the first entrance you see when driving in. Walk straight towards the gazebo and then look to your right. You will see "hanger-style" buildings. The first two (I believe) are commercial exhibits. You are looking for the agricultural & baking exhibits hanger which I believe is the third one on the right side. The scout displays are in the back portion of the hanger bldg over on the left side. Our girls made up the exhibit to celebrate their work in letterboxing & earning the bronze award for their efforts. It is a fun fair to attend, it has everything from handicraft & baked good exhibits to commercial exhibits to livestock exhibits to carnival rides. There is an admission fee ($9) to enter the fairgrounds. This letterbox will only be available the duration of the fair - from September 4 - September 7, see website for fair hours.
