*This series can be done at the same time as our “Church Boy Plants More Letterboxes” series
*Bug spray might be a good idea, just in case.

Follow directions to “Box #2: My Own Design” of our “Church Boy Plants More Letterboxes” series. This is the starting point for this series!

If you are like most people, you like a happy ending to fairy tales. So your help is needed to bring about a happy ending to this story! Princess Aurora is lost in the woods. The 3 good fairies fear that the evil Maleficent will find her before her 16th birthday and somehow make her prick her finger on a spinning wheel, as she promised would happen at Aurora’s christening. So try to find her fast! From Box #2 of the “Church Boy Plants More Letterboxes” series, take about 90 adult-sized steps. On the left, you will see what used to be a wide trail leading into the woods. Take 20-22 steps down this trail--on your right you will see a double-trunked tree near the trail and another double-trunked tree a bit further in. Rescue the princess by looking behind the second double-trunked tree!! (COVER COMPLETELY WHEN FINISHED!)

Oh, dear, it is not the princess after all. However, you now have more help for your journey! Brave Prince Phillip will stop at nothing to find his one true love! Stamp in and then rehide his box well before continuing on your journey to find Princess Aurora before it is too late! Walk along the path until you reach an intersection–another path will join yours from the right. You should continue straight along your path and from this intersection count 28 steps. On the left, you will see a double-trunked tree. Behind the tree, under a root, log and leaves, your princess awaits! Beware–Maleficent was not able to get the princess to a spinning wheel this time, but she has managed to hide her in a place with many thorns around! Carefully rehide this box, then continue on for your last and most important stamp! Continue walking until you reach an intersection where you can see a blue “Falmouth Drinking Water Supply Area” sign. From this sign, turn around and go back the way you came for about 34 adult-sized steps. On the right, you will see a triple-trunked tree--your last box is hiding behind this tree under leaves and sticks and other forest debris. PLEASE REHIDE BOX WELL--COVER COMPLETELY!! We hid this box in early spring and conditions were fine--be on the lookout for thorns and poison ivy and let us know if there is an abundance of either of these as spring and summer progress! Thank you!

Boxes #1 and #2 were carved by Princess Mom and Box #3 was hand-drawn and carved by Princess Girl, age 5.

If you are in the mood for a nice hike, the trail around the Long Pond Reservoir is about 3.5 miles.
