This is the first box in what is hoped to be a series of fairy letterboxes. It is also the first letterbox we have placed.

Tinkerbell is hiding in a little known city park in Northwest Austin, Yett Creek Park. There are several ways to get to the park, but no parking lot or signs. To find Tinkerbell, take 183 North to the Duval exit. Turn right at the light onto Duval, and then an almost immediate left onto West Cow Path. Follow the street about a mile down until you come to the cul-de-sac with one house on it. You can park on the right side of the cul-de-sac. Don't hang out there at night or the neighbors will call the cops. Facing directly away from the windmill and utility pole across the cul-de-sac, there is a trail opening almost directly in front of you. Enter the trail, keeping the gate to your right.

About 100 or so steps into the trail, you will come to a triangle of stones around a tree. Take the left fork. About 50-60 steps down the fork, the trail will pass narrowly between two trees. Another 80-90 steps further you will come to a creek bed. Sometimes it is wet, sometimes dry. Cross the creek on the stepping-stones. The trail will split again just after a low rock wall. Take the left fork. About 25 steps down the trail, there will be a fallen tree on the right. Tinkerbell is hidden under rocks at the foot of the tree.

Just updated this letterbox with a new stamp pad and notebook. The previous stamp pad had disappeared and notebook was water logged. Hopefully now more people will find it! 8/1/2016
