Located in Foster Park in Newton Twp. From Interstate 76 take the exit for St. Rt. 534. Go north on 534 for approximately 2.4 miles and make a left onto Pritchard Ohltown Road. (This road turns into County Line Road). Stay on Pritchard Ohltown until you come to N East River Road. Make a right onto N East River Rd and the park is less then 1/10 of a mile on the left.

Park in the lot and walk to the Information Center (wooden sign w/park maps). Take a reading on your compass of 40 degrees and walk 24 steps. Look for the downed hollow log and what you seek is in the end. Please be sure to place the box in as far as you can, and cover it back up with the bark.

I worked in Newton Falls for 11 years and always found it to be a charming small town with really friendly people. It has a very cool covered bridge, that is still in use.

If you wish to see the actual covered bridge in Newton Falls OH, go back out to St. Rt. 534. Make a left and stay on 534 until you come to the intersection of 534 and East Broad Street (4 way stop). Go straight to the next stop sign and turn left. This is a functioning covered bridge and is the only one in existence that has a pedestrian walk way.

If you'd like to take a break for lunch or dinner, allow me to recommend Robby Lee's. It's a wonderful place with a great salad bar. To get to Robby Lee's contine on 534 to where it turns right. Robby's is located on the left about 3/4 of a mile.

This stamp was originally carved for the SOHT event in 2006. It's not one of my better carvings, but it seemed a shame to have it sit in a drawer. Hope you enjoy it.
