The box is located in Alligator Park, Lake City, Florida. Entracnce to the park is free. Alligator Park is located on Old Country Club Road, take Baya East then take a right onto Old Country Club Road, park entrance is approximately 2 miles on the right. You can also take 441 South turn left onto 252 next to Columbia High School, take this to the first light and take a left onto Old Country Club road, the park entrance is a few miles down on the left. Park Entrance only has small signs, it is easy to miss it so look carefully. Park hours are Tuesday to Sunday 8:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. Daylight Savings Time 8:00a.m. to 5:30p.m. Closed on Monday.

Once you enter the park you will see the playground and picnic shelters. From the park walk towards the volleyball court and you will see a trail opening to your right. At the entrance to this trail you will see a sign marking it the "Deer Trail" follow this trail until you come to an intersection. At the intersection you will take a right. You will come to a sign advising you to "Respect Wildlife" the trail heads a little left at this sign, follow the trail until you see a green arrow marker, just behind the marker is a large pine. You will find what you are looking for at the back of the pine it is hidden beneath pine needles, a pinecone, and a few sticks. Please re-hide the box and be sure it isn't easily visible. This walk is only about 5 to 10 minutes from the playground. If you plan to take the trail all the way, be sure you take water. Watch out for gators and snakes as you get closer to the water. We have seen plenty on our hikes here. Have fun!
