DIRECTIONS: Garrity Baseball Field. Alling St. to Heather La. At the end of Heather Lane, you will find Griswald Elementary School off to your RIGHT. And a small parking lot and the baseball fields off to your LEFT. Park here.

CLUES: From your car, walk around the gate and up the paved road leading to the baseball fields. Follow the road through the gravel parking lot, toward the flagpole and between Garrity and Pulcini Fields. Continue to circle around Pulcini's homerun territory. You will see one tiny path off into the woods. It is paved with flat blue stones. This is the sweetest little path to peek at. But as I travel along this path, it becomes difficult to determine where the town property ends and private property begins. So, our box is NOT planted here-- but it sure is worth it to step into this fairyland path for a peek. (Gives me ideas for my own yard!)

Continue around Pulcini Field's fence line and start to head down the 3rd base line. After you cross home plate, continue to follow the woods line untill you hit the batting cages. (Yes, you went in a bit of a cirle.) Right next to the batting cage, there is a little clump of wooded brush. In the center of this, there sits a Mama tree that was cut down. From this Mama's stump grows a dozen or so children. Follow the batting cage's fence to get in there and check to see what these siblings are guarding. There is a picnic table nearby for you to stamp in at. There is a chance this picnic is moved a bit for mowing... but it is there.

Hide super well because the players' little brothers and sisters are always looking for lost baseballs!
