Find your way to the Fairbanks section of Farmington. Head north towards Strong. You will cross the Fairbanks Bridge. This bridge has been rebuilt 4 times - the last time after the April Fools Day flood of 1987! After crossing, take an immediate left, which will take you to the ball field and to the banks of the Sandy River. Continue on this dirt road around the left side of the field. The road is probably an ATV trail. Take a left, facing the river. Just beyond, on the left, look for a bent, elbow-like tree. From this tree turn left and walk about 5 paces to a downed, rotten "v". Your homerun will be found nestled in here under bark and sticks. Please rehide carefully by re-covering with bark and sticks.
FYI: This ballfield, now home of the Fairbanks Red Sox, was originally a cornfield. The land was donated in the 1990's, by a pillar of the community, Mr. Peter Mills. The Red Sox had recently lost their playing field when new owners purchased the land.
