From Route 30 E just outside of Ligonier, you will hit 381s which leads to Linn Run State Park. Enjoy the farms of the elite Rolling Rock Farms as you drive to the entrance of Linn Run which is just outside of the small town of Rector, PA. Just after entering the state park, you will see a parking area on the left. Park here. Cross the bridge covering Linn Run. Off to the left is the trail to Flat Rock. Follow this trail for approximately .4 of a mile. You will follow the trail until you come to Flat Rock. Stop and take a slide down this natural wonder of the Laurel Mountains. Then look for the letterbox. Follow the trail to the right, go under the fallen tree, around and over a knoll, approximately 36 paces. You will reach the large evergreen. Look to the left to see a dead tree laying on the ground. Tucked underneath this tree on the right hand side, covered by bark is the letterbox.
