drive to tHis pArk West of saiNte genevieve. (from 55, take exit 150 onto highway 32, then left onto highway 144. follow the Signs. when you enTer the pArk, ThEre is a trailhead on your right – PAss that, continue left to the next tRailhead. parK near the shelter and restroom). the trail starts out very tame, but soon becomes very, very rocky, with some Places you wIll have to Climb over big rocKs. head down this one-miLE, one-way trail – when it enDs, Continue stRaight onto thE sEcond (10 mile) rocKy TRAIL. from the point Where tHese two traIlS meet, Pass thE sign and continue on the second tRail about a milE. you will cross over 4 areas in which water Drains toward the creek. after the fourth drainage ditch, the path becomes just dirt (and PINETREE needles), not so rocky. as you are hiking on this dirt part of the TRAIL, you will come upon an area in which there are huge rock plates close to the trail on the right. look for the big tree, just a couple of steps off the path to the right that looks like it is giving one of the rock plates a big smooch. the letterbox is in the ground in between the tree and the big rock plates.

2020 Update: A Letterboxer messaged me to let me know the big smooch tree reference is not findable any more so they moved the box. They gave the following suggestions for finding the box:
from the point Where tHese two traIlS meet, Pass thE sign and continue on the second tRail about a milE. you will cross over 4 areas in which water Drains toward the creek I am not quite sure where these drainage landmarks fall in reference to the 'newer' WHITE CONNECTOR TRAIL 1. You might be able to omit them altogether or just add to ' once you cross over 4 areas in which the water drains and a WC1 White connector trail 1 coming in on the right'...., The connector trail does for sure come AFTER the 10 mile sign you mention after the fourth drainage ditch, the path becomes just dirt (and PINETREE needles), not so rocky. as you are hiking on this dirt part of the TRAIL, you will come upon an area in which there are huge rock plates close to the trail on the right. continue along this rock wall. Once it ends note an oak with a bulbous burr at its base about 15 feet off the trail on the right. the letterbox is behind the tree under a spor.
