This letterbox is hidden behind the ghost of a tree that may have died by fire.
Take Highway 57 to La Grange and go south on Main Street (at the flashing yellow light). On the day we were there, it was a ghost town, but maybe on weekdays it's more animated.
Main Street becomes Yager Road as it crosses over the Wolf River. Take Yager until you get to Beasley Rd. and make a right. Go west a good ways till you see a gravel parking area on your left and the entrance to the Ghost River Mineral Slough Boardwalk trail on your right.
Follow the Boardwalk trail past all the marked trees until you reach the map of the boardwalk. Look around you to find the ghost tree, its burnt legs spread as if it were coming toward you.
