Due to flood damage, I have retired this box. I may refurbish the box and replace it at a later time, so check back!

This box is located in Willow Mill Park on Willow Mill Park Road near Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Note that the box is hidden in the park, not at the mill itself. Pass the mill at the 3 Way stop on Willow Mill Park Road and proceed a very short distance to find Willow Mill Park on the right.

Enter the park and locate the Public Boat access and park nearby.

Walk to the sign that says "Public Boat Access" and stand facing the Creek. Look to the left and you will see a large tree. Walk over to the tree until you are standing between the tree and the Creek and continue walking in that direction until you see a place where there is a sudden drop. At the bottom of that drop is the beginning of a trail into the woods along the Creek. Carefully get onto the trail and begin walking along the Creek.

Soon you will see a concrete wall to your left. Continue past the wall and when it ends continue to follow the trail beyond that point.

Soon you will come to a tree that is growing smack in the middle of the trail. This tree is very obviously growing in the direction of the Creek. Take 5 large steps beyond the tree on the trail and you will see a low stone wall to your left. Go to the center of this wall and turn and face it (with the Creek behind you).

Now turn 90 degrees to your right and you will see another, more slender, tree that is also growing in the direction of the Creek. Between this tree and the stone wall there is a large rock. The box is hidden in a nook between the rock and the stone wall. It is covered by a smaller, flat, lighter colored stone.

Please be sure to rehide the box with that same stone after you stamp in, and that the box cannot be seen after you replace the stone.

The box is hidden in a rather secluded area of the park, but please take care to be stealthy if there are people around.

Also, this area is somewhat flood prone. The box may be difficult to access if there have been heavy rains and the park itself might be inaccessible if there is heavy local flooding. Most of the time, however, this is an extremely pleasant park to enjoy and the trail should be fine.

Enjoy!
