This letterbox is located on Flag Rock in Housatonic, MA. Roundtrip is probably 1 hour at a good pace and without stopping at the top. It is steep in section sbut my 6 year old amde it unassisted at a slightly slower pace. Please bring an ink pad with you to use our stamp. Have fun!!

From the center of Housatonic Village you will be at a four-corner intersection next to the Market and the local playground.
Go over the bridge that crosses the Housatonic River.
Straight ahead, you will see an art gallery currently painted bright blue. On the left are old mill buildings. Between the two is a street called Waubeek St, however, there is no sign. Take this street and immediately take a left onto Grove St.
At the top of the hill Grove St continues to the right. Do not follow. Instead, continue straight toward a fence where you will see a trail head.
As you head up the trail you will see a fork that bears left or continues upward. Continue upward.
You will emerge at a row of power lines into a clearing. Go right at the trail and pass approx. 3 or 4 poles while looking for a trail on the left.
Follow this trail for awhile and you may notice a tree to your left in a basin. Soon, you will see the trail flattens out.
At this point, you will notice a large rock on your right with graffiti.
You should see a baby rock nestled at the base of this large rock. Dig behind the leaves and see if you can find Santa.
If you continue onward a short distance the trail forks again. Take the right fork up a short hill and you'll have a great view of Housatonic. If you continue straight on the trail you would eventually come out near taft farms on Rt 183.
Please rehide better than you found this letterbox.
