•Take Hw. 25 south to Hw. 24. Go west on Hw. 24 toward Pikes Peak. Take a left on 21st St. At the 2nd stoplight (about .5 miles, top of hill), turn right onto Lower Goldcamp Rd. Go 1 mile. At stop sign go left down the hill. At the first left, turn into Bear Creek Nature Center parking lot. Proceed to the front of the Nature Center.
•Take the trail to the right of the nature center. At first fork go right across creek (210'). At next fork in trail go right (240') onto Creek Bottom Loop. The creek will be on your right. Pass three benches. Be sure to stop and enjoy the sound of the creek before you head up the hill. You'll pass the fourth bench on your right. After the bench, around the corner you'll come to a marker that has a 5 on it. Take a 40' reading on your compass. At the foot of the pine tree you will find the Bear Creek Letterbox. A short distance ahead on the trail is another bench where you can sit down and stamp.
•Please be sure to cover it well with pine needles and the three rocks.
•Continue on down the trail and it will loop back to the Nature Center. Stop in for a visit there. They have a wonderful active beehive.
