Find Library Park in Lakeport at the corner of Park and 2nd Streets and park. Locate something besides steel which made Andrew Carnegie famous. When you find it you can go play in the kiddie stuff or you can head in the opposite direction toward the letterbox. Follow the shore line past various launching facilities. Forget about spending the night and stay alert for all those sober boaters. When you reach the last Park launching area walk to the corner of the parking lot at the end. Note the zigzaggy formation forming part of the parking barrier. Spy the path into the trees from the middle of the zigzags. Follow that path toward the trees. When you reach the first large tree start counting your steps. A school will be on your left beyond a playing field. When you have hit 32 you should be almost shaking hands with a big willow tree. About four feet off the ground as you face the tree will be a natural bowl in which the Library Park Letterbox awaits you behind some leaves and bark.
Please be discrete, secure the lid tightly making sure plastic is completely inside box to keep out moisture and rehide carefully as this is a heavily used area.
Thanks for coming!
