This Box is in Honor of Axel Erlandson, sculptor of the fabulous Tree Circus, a roadside attraction in Scotts Valley from the 1940s-1960s. I remember going to the Tree Circus when I was a kindergardner at Scotts Valley School in 1964. By then it had become the Lost World, and featured giant dinosaurs. But I digress. Go find the site of the old Tree Circus on Scotts Valley Drive. There are still two of Mr Erlandson's trees growing there, and letterboxers looking carefully at the one in back of the building can sneakily find the box hidden under the lowest stair.
Be super sneaky, sly, stealthy and surreptitious here both finding and rehiding the box! There is a first finder certificate, and plenty of room for a hitchhiker.

Most of the trees live in Gilroy now, and are well worth a visit.
