COLOR GUARD:

7/14/2011 NEW LOCATION & CLUES, SAME STAMP
In the spring of 2005 our daughter joined the Color Guard for the SHRHS marching band & we became “band parents”.
This is one in a series of 6 boxes planted in honor of her senior year & dedicated to “band geeks” & their parents everywhere.
Each box is planted at a different site were the SHRHS marching band has competed this (fall 2008) season. We are privileged to be able to travel with a group of hard working kids & staff, who continually amaze us with their dedication, music & high scores at MICCA, NESBA & USSBA shows. GO SHRHS!
As most of these boxes are located on High School property please plan your searches for when school is NOT in session. Better yet find out when each school hosts their home show & after letterboxing enjoy some great music & field shows. Maybe we’ll see you there.
CLUES:
As you come up the driveway stay to the right into the high school parking lot. Park anywhere that you can see the flag by the main entrance. Walk back the way you came in & find the sign for Dudley Middle School. Head down the sidewalk until you come to "a pile of rocks" on your right. If you look close you'll notice that this is the beginning of a stonewall that goes off into the woods. 4 or 5 steps in to where it starts to look like a stonewall is where the colorguard is practicing their doubles & triples.
Color Guard: Interprets the music that the marching band is playing via the synchronized spinning and tossing of flags, sabres & rifles. The color guard uses different colors and styles of flags to enhance the visual effect of the marching band as a whole.
Please seal & rehide carefully. Box 4 will be planted in Fall River on 10/18/08.
