There was an old lady who swallowed a bat.
I don’t know why she swallowed a bat,
Imagine that.
From the main parking lot, your adventure will start at the Tower Trail. Pass by the wooden steps and at the first bend go right onto the Nature Trail. Pass #5 then 14 paces to an almost-dead “batty” Hemlock tree on the right.

There was an old lady who swallowed an owl.
My, oh, my, she started to howl.
She swallowed the owl to shush the bat.
I don’t know why she swallowed a bat,
Imagine that.
Return to the Tower Trail and continue upward looking for the red octagon going off trail to the left. Take that trail and after a bend look left for a downed tree with 3 large rocks at its base.

There was an old lady who swallowed a cat.
What do you think? Now she’s so fat.
She swallowed the cat to chase the owl.
She swallowed the owl to shush the bat.
I don’t know why she swallowed a bat,
Imagine that.
Back to the Tower Trail (are you seeing a pattern here),
continue upwards and turn right on the Orange Trail . Very soon , at the 'Y' leave the Orange Trail as it goes up to the left. Take the smaller trail to the right [straight ahead] to find the benches. Sit, relax and enjoy the view.
Hey! You’re supposed to be letterboxing not sitting! Look at 340 degrees to a 3 sister tree that Cat climbed. (missing 10/21/2010)

There was an old lady who swallowed a ghost.
What do you think? She liked the most!
She swallowed the ghost to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to chase the owl.
She swallowed the owl to shush the bat.
I don’t know why she swallowed the bat,
Imagine that.
Back to the Tower Trail and follow it to “ghostly white” trail to the right. Follow the white trail until you see a 2 sister tree on right and a cedar on the left with a semi-circle of stones. Look directly behind cedar amongst the stones.

There was an old lady who swallowed a goblin.
It made her so dizzy, she started to spin.
She swallowed the goblin to scare the ghost.
She swallowed the ghost to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to chase the owl.
She swallowed the owl to shush the bat.
I don’t know why she swallowed the bat,
Imagine that.
Back again to the Tower Trail now look for Blue trail on the right and take it. You need to climb the “stairs” up, up, up! Find the ledge on your right. As the trail turns sharply right at a tree with double blaze, take a reading of due south to small rock jumble with 3 Stoogey rocks on top of each other. Go back to Tower Trail…bla, bla, bla

There was an old lady who swallowed some bones.
There were so many, she started to groan.
She swallowed the bones to rattle the goblin.
She swallowed the goblin to scare the ghost.
She swallowed the ghost to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to chase the owl.
She swallowed the owl to shush the bat.
I don’t know why she swallowed the bat,
Imagine that.
Continue on the Tower Trail and find the bench on your left to rest your bones. Take a reading of 160 degrees from the other side of the trail to a tree with tombstone opening. Now back to the Tower Trail and keep going to the top where you will find a stone observation tower.

There was an old lady who swallowed a wizard…
When you get to the top you will see the TOWER. With your back facing the tower, stand underneath the CSP and Spider Web windows where there will be what looks like a false door. (An arched door frame blocked by stone wall). Standing there facing North North West. Take a reading of 260 degrees and go to the beginning of an unmarked trail. From here go 8 paces then at 290 degrees take an additional 7 paces to the Wizard’s Den.

To cast a spell so she could yell,
“Trick or Treat!”
Go back to the Spider Web windows, then a reading of 200 degrees to a grassy trail. Follow it until you reach the first big rock to stand on, then reading of 160 degrees over 3 knucklehead rocks then under rock tripe.
(Burp!)

You could go back the way you came, but this time just stick to the Tower Trail. It's much shorter! ; ) Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk...
