Find your way to this crown Jewell of Casco Bay for its beauty and its history. Whether you arrived via the Punchbowl or Cocktail Cove or Smuggler’s Pass, make your way to the towers for a fine view. One tower looks like a rook in a chess game but it is the taller tower you want. After a wonderful view over the bay proceed out in back of the tall tower (toward the west). You will find an old foundation and a red chimney with many rungs. Nearby is a birch tree with many trunks. You will find the Crown Jewell in a cavity at the base of this tree. After enjoying the letterbox, enjoy the many trails on this beautiful island.
Please bring ink and pen and re-hide the box well.
