Bluff Head parking lot route 77.
It was a cold winter day when we headed up the Bluff Head blue trail (not the smartest thing in the world to do). At one point Gizz started to fall, grabbed a tree but fell anyway, leaving the fingerprint pad of his pinkie finger behind. To mark the spot I have planted a box almost where he fell.
Head up the blue trail (very steep) pass the blue with orange dot coming in from the left and go up some more. Keep watching on the left for a good size boulder right on the trail's edge, with a nice view off to the right. From here take 33 steps to come to the top of a small, rocky downhill with the fingerprint thief on the left (look closely, it might still be hanging there). Look left from the tree, past a curved trunked tree to see a hole at the base of a funny looking maple.
Use caution getting to the maple.
