This is a very short walk in a lovely part of Dane County. In the southern part of Madison, near the intersections of Moorland and Raymond, follow the directions towards the Lussier Family Heritage Center. Turn right and park in the lot for Dane County's Nine Springs E-Way.
Enter the E-Way Trailhead. Turn right at 3. Make a sharp right turn at the first opportunity. The treeline will be on your left. Walk on the path until you see a large tree with a partially rotted trunk. 7 steps further along the trail you will see a tree on your left next to a multiple trunk stump. The Sly Sleeper is napping in the multiple cut stump, under sticks.
For an additional short walk, carefully cross the street and follow the boardwalk through the marsh. It is beautiful!
