Planted 5-28-2003 by the Georgia Peach Gang and the New Jersey Witch and Wizard
Location: Bells Ferry Park, Cobb County, Georgia, (where Georgia Peaches have met fame and glory in athletic endeavors)

Bells Ferry Park is a Cobb County Park off of Bells Ferry Road near I75 and I575 in the Marietta-Kennesaw area Northwest of Atlanta. After entering the park at the sign, cross over 4 speed bumps on the park entrance road. Pass the tennis court and Baseball Fields #1 and 2. Just past Baseball Field # 2 turn left into the parking lot. Go to the end of the parking lot. Start at the large green electrical box near the north east (back right) corner of the parking lot. With your back to the parking lot, walk up hill on the wide cleared area of red Georgia soil. At the top is a defunct water fountain, now bird bath, that is painted green. It sits on a rectangular concrete base. From the water fountain/birdbath go right into the woods about a dozen double paces to a 4”X4” wooden post about 2 feet high marking the edge of an exercise trail. The post has two holes near the top on the trail side. To your left as you reach the trail are pushup bars of two heights. Turn right on the trail and walk about 18 to 20 double paces passing a log on your left. At the end of your paces, stop. Look left. About 4 double paces from the main trail and slightly up hill, you will see a 14 to 16 ft. log about 20 inches in diameter lying almost parallel to the main trail. The root of the log is about 3 double paces farther along the main trail. The top of the log is sawed off and several sawed sections are lying nearby. Leave the main trail and walk the approximately 4 double paces up to the log on a faint trail through thin undergrowth. On the far side of the log about 6 ft. from the root, a 2 inch thick stick angles up to the right from under the log. At the base of this stick (also on the far side of the log away from the main trail) you will find a speckled rock, 9 or 10 inches across. The Squirrel in the Mailbox is hiding under the log behind this rock. Please be discreet if others are using the trail. Please close the Ziploc bags and both plastic boxes tightly and carefully return the box to its hiding place, concealing it well with the speckled rock and a few leaves. Thank you.
