Happy Quilter is a very committed seamstress with a love for her craft. She also loves letterboxing..so the two had to come together eventually.
There is a series of quilt block stamps to be out there in 2008 and 2009. She hopes you enjoy them!
Location: Kephart Bridge Landing located within Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park at 43942 Riverpoint Drive. The property includes 122 acres of passive parkland with access to the Potomac River and Goose Creek. The park is home to the historic Elizabeth Mills canal lock system and contains a section of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. Kephart Bridge Landing has a canoe and kayak launch.
Driving Directions to Kephart Bridge Landing: From Route 7 heading east from Leesburg. Go north on Belmont Ridge Road into the subdivision. Cross over Riverside Parkway, turn left onto Riverpoint Drive. Follow Riverpoint Drive as it descends through the neighborhood. The entrance to the landing will be on the left at the bottom of the hill between house numbers 43944 and 43940. Look for two stone pillars at the entrance to the park. You will see a Welcome to Kephart Bridge Landing sign.
Go into the park on the trail and turn right along trail. You will go over several gullies before finding the stone walls of the lock system on your right. Go to the lock walls. Ahead of you you will see a steep path with a tall dead stump at the top. Be quiet as there are golfing muggles galore. Under the dead bark below the tree you will find your box as well as a surprise!
