Checked Aug 8th, 2014 needed changes please note
Easy terrain in a county park
Less than 15 minutes
Park is found south of Menomonie on hwy 25 about 9 ½ miles.
Caddie Woodlawn is a book written by Carol Ryrie Brink. This story is based on Carol’s grandmother growing up in the Wisconsin frontier in the 1860’s. Caddie, the tomboy, runs with her brothers and experience friendly Indians and more in the every day pioneer life.
You will need to find Caddie, she is off running in the woods again. When you are done exploring the park and looking over the houses. Find the older of the two houses. From there head east toward the field along the red pine plantation. In the SE corner of the grassy part notice a tree different from the rest in the small area (ash if you know your trees). LOOK left and count the third tree. Caddie is hiding beneath a brick by that tree.
There is also a geocash in the NE corner if interested.
