Lately it seems as though we've been hiking to lots of mountain peaks so I'm starting a series of castles to be planted on top of every mountain I climb.
Today we drove to Castle Craig in Meriden and continued north on blue but if you know where the radio towers are you can start from there.
Whatever way you choose to get to the towers, go north on the blue trail until it seems as though you might just step off into nothingness. Before the edge, look left for a scrub (?) oak with a split and twisted trunk. Reaching into the split should produce results.
Cover to make it look as natural as possible. Thanks.
