We decided we needed to plant another Halloween box before the day came and went. It was much too cold to hike very far so this is pretty easy.
This box is in the Mohawk State Forest. Take the entrance off Rt. 4 just west of the Cornwall town line and east of Rt. 128. Follow the paved road to the second pull off on the right. This is about a mile in and has a great view.
From here cross the road and take the blue trial up the hill and past the BIG rock. From here you should see the Trail Shelter. Go there and a bit beyond. You should see a twin tree on the ground. Go to the root end and look in the left side under the bark.
