This add-on was planted in the Litchfield Hills Audobon Society’s Boyd Woods on Rte 254 in Litchfield with help from Rubaduc, CHThiker, and Gavin! On this unseasonably warm day we spotted a handful of spring peepers!
No ink in the box – brown, grey, or black (or a combination thereof) would work well.
DIFFICULTY: 2 (of 5)
TERRAIN: 2 (of 5)
Once you’ve found Groucho’s spot, proceed on orange across the arched bridge. Look for a large three-sister tree on the right about 50 paces from the bridge. Looking east from the tree, spot two fallen trees, each with a two-foot stump remaining. Groucho’s add-on is hidden in a hole in the stump end of the fallen tree on the right.
If you have previously found Groucho, we recommend bringing that logbook with you to add our stamp’s image to his! We are grateful to Rubaduc and Dragonfly Hunter for introducing us to this beautiful spot – be sure to bring clues for the other boxes hidden here!
