THIS LETTERBOX/STAMP HAS ALSO BEEN KNOWN AS LOVEBIRDS AND LOVEBIRDS II.

LOVEBIRDS WAS MOVED BECAUSE OF FLOODING IN THE AREA.

LOVEBIRDS II WAS MOVED BECAUSE OF VANDALS.

I HOPE LOVEBIRDS III ARE SAFE AND COMFORTABLE HERE FOR A LONG TIME.

===========================================================

This letterbox is located at Riley Pond, Northbridge, MA. It is a fairly easy hike, takes about 15 minutes round trip. Be careful, wet leaves make for slippery walking.

Park in lot. Facing pond, look right. Go up a slight incline/hill to right of white wooden railing/small waterfall.

Follow trail thru the woods along waters edge. Trail ends at an old road (fire road?). Go left. Follow along with the pond on your left.

Will eventually see power lines on right, green burlap bags filled with wood chips (?) on the ground to your left. Watch for a big pile of quarry stones on the left.

Lovebirds III are snuggling under the left most large stone.

If you go past the pond, you have gone too far !!!

RETURN SAME WAY - CAN BE TRICKY.

Follow the old road back into the woods but DO NOT GO UP THE HILL. look to the right for either the skinny birch tree leaning out over the water....OR...the wood/branch step on the ground to find return path along the waters edge, to the parking lot.

DO NOT HEAD AWAY FROM THE WATERS EDGE / UP THE HILL ON THE OLD ROAD !!!
