8-8-13 I'm told that the box is on the Green Woodpecker Trail. Check the trail map.

2-20-12..I'm told that the pink ribbons no longer exist and the trail isn't blazed in pink .I'll try to get out there to check it it out but until then, hunt at your own risk.

Here I am, back at my new favorite place to hike and plant, Boyd's Woods. This is a new trail and only marked by pink ribbons but they’re plentiful so you can’t get lost. If it becomes blazed, I’d love to hear about it.

You may do this anyway you’d like and with a map from the kiosk, it’s easy to plan a route. I’m going to tell you to pass the largest anthropoid ape and a long gone comedian, cross an arched bridge and look immediately on the left for the green Woodpecker Trail (this used to be marked with pink ribbons). The trail will be parallel to the brook for a bit, passing a low growing burl and just as the trail turns away from the brook see a large fallen birch tree on the right. From here you may see a large (and small) mossy rock to the left but PLEASE take about 40 steps along the trail and then go left to the mossy mother/daughter rocks. This will be a more environmentally gentle way to find the box between....... covered only with leaves.

From here continue on, starting to go gently uphill, step over a “notched” log (notice a “bench” on the left?) and now you come to the amazing grove of white birch trees which brought me to plant another box here. When you get to the blue trail you can go either left (on white) or right (and take a left on pink) to get back to your car.

Unfortunately no dogs are allowed. Black and green markers will give you my desired effect.
Thanks.
