Park near UCSD campus where the gliders take off. You will need a printed map of the campus or visit the information booth for a map. It is best to have 3 colors of ink. These letterboxes are in public places… remember to be discreet!
This letterbox is dedicated to our sister who graduated UCSD in 2008 with a Bachelor of Anthropology (Concentration in Archaeology) and Minor in Studio Art. At UCSD she learned three things that that make a solid foundation for her future. They are:
(1) your personal experiences and family past that frame your values and beliefs
(2) all learned behavior and knowledge gained from others' experiences
(3) what you see as your future path
Personal Framework *This box is missing*
Our surname is Blake. Go to our Hall and the location of the 1st letterbox will be “revelled” to you. Stand on the lawn in front of our Hall and look towards the fountain that “revelles” all. Look to the left to the pine that is closest to the lawn. Reach in with faith behind the stone wall.
Go to the head of the snake that guards the eastern entrance to the place where knowledge is stored. Walk toward the tail of the Serpent. Pass Eden on your left and see the 1st eucalyptus tree on your right. Search behind the base of the tree under some bark.
UCSD is home to one of Louis Kahn’s masterpieces. If you have a chance, take the time to take a tour. The central feature to this work of art aims toward the horizon, reminding everyone that the future is out there and to aim for it. Go to the northeast corner of the parking lot and find a eucalyptus tree in the shape of a “V.” At the base of the tree, find two small rocks and a large rock hiding a letterbox.
All of these pieces to the puzzle fit together to create a solid foundation for your future.
