07/20/2010 because of tree removal, this box has been relocated. These are the new clues.
Very short, easy stroll at reservoir #6 on route 44 in West Hartford.
This is a first for me, planting a box from a wheelchair. Many thanks to some kind letterboxing friends for going with me (especially up the bank). Double thanks to Gizz who pushed me all the way and earned extra credit.
Clues: After entering the driveway go to the very back parking lot and park near the porta potties in Visitor Parking. Walk up the road past the Do Not Enter sign, through the yellow gate (bearing left) heading towards the reservoir. Keeping the reservoir on your left, follow this path and soon you'll see an area on the left down by the water with a bench. After this you'll come to a left bending curve and just before going downhill turn right onto an unmarked trail. In less than 100 steps look left about 50 feet off trail for a very large five sister pine. Look eye high where three of the sisters meet for the new home of the broken Duc.
