The "House Cat Blues" letterbox is located on the edge of Fredericksburg, on Cross Mountain. This is a nice hike to a great view on top.
Directions:
From Hwy 290, go north on Milam (RR 965). Turn left into parking area when you see sign for Cross Mountain. Park at far end.
To the Letterbox:
At end of parking lot, go through gate enterance, and walk up around the curve, then up curve to the right. When trail starts to level out, look left for small trail with wooden steps going up to next level. Take this trail for 14 steps. Look right to a cedar tree. Box is at base of this tree, covered with stuff and rocks.
