Build a Duc

This series of five drive-by letterboxes is for a certain Duc that "broke apart" and needs to be put back together again.

I highly recommend doing them in order (forwards or backwards) as they will fit together much better that way.

The finished image is approximately 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.

There is a line and an arrow on the back of each piece to show which way is up and to help you align each stamp. After stamping the first one, make a small dot in your log book where the line from that one is, and then line up the next one with it, to get the best image.

The middle box contains the log book and is a "regular" box. The other four are microboxes.

None of them contain ink.

To start building your duc, you will need to go to the Park and Ride lot on Route 6 in North Windham by the Windham Airport runway.
Go through the opening in the gate and walk 10 steps.
Stop.
Turn right and walk 15 steps.
Look at the base of the Juniper, under a small rock there, to find the first box, the webbed feet.

For the next box you will need to head west on route 6, bearing right onto the route 6 expressway.
At the end of the expressway you will be in Columbia at a large four way intersection.
Go straight through this intersection (you are now on route 66) and immediately turn right into the Park and Ride lot.
Go to the Northern end and park near the

sign.
From that sign, follow the fence, on the roadside, to the first Pine.
Look at its base for the second box.

You will now need to turn right, out of the lot, and head west on route 66.
You will come to the intersection of 66 & 87, continue straight on 66.
Immediately after passing West Street on your right, pull into the Park and Ride lot on the same side.
Park near the Verizzi's Apple Farm sign.
Look behind the "non-evergreen" tree in that corner of the lot to find the third box that contains the log book.

You will again need to turn right out of the lot to head west on route 66.
In a few miles you will come to another Park and Ride lot on your left.
Turn left on to Wellswood Road just after the lot and then turn left again into the lot.
Park in front of the first "Park at your own risk..." sign on the right.
Go to the large tree to the left of this sign and look near its base on the left side for the fourth box.

You will again need to head west on route 66 to find the final box.
You will go quite a ways until you are in East Hampton at the intersection with route 16.
At this light, turn right into the Park and Ride lot.
Park facing west.
Go to the light pole that is in between the identical "park at your own risk" signs.
Look at its base on the right side to find the final box.

I hope you were successful in putting the Duc together...
