Adell Durbin is located at 3300 Darrow Rd in Stow (Darrow Rd is also State Rt 91), south of State Rt 59.

Warning: There is poison ivy in this park--I didn't see any where the boxes are planted. If you stay (mostly) on the blue trail, this will be a bit longer than 1/2 mile. Both boxes are located very close to the trail. Bring a stamp pad and pencil/pen--the boxes don't include these.

{My eight-year-old daughter, Wild Child, and I carved the stamps after watching a black squirrel dig and dig and dig through leaves--and finally uncover a large nut.}

(last reported found 9/4/04 The logbook for box 1 is full and I won't be back to replace it until next summer. If possible, please leave an extra sheet of paper or two for others to stamp in on!)

Poor Squirrely! She's lost her prize acorn. It's a big one and would have lasted all winter--if only she could remember where she buried it. Help reunite Squirrely and her acorn on a page in your notebook!

Box 1/Squirrely: Take either the red or the blue trail, and go down the steps. Continue until you have a choice of red or blue--choose red. Watch for the first post that confirms you're on the red trail. Squirrely is between the toes of the second mighty oak past that red trail post. Look under sticks and leaves on the backside (north side) of the tree.

(Box 2 replaced 6/04)
Box 2/Acorn: From box 1, you can either go back the way you came to the blue trail, or continue on the red (for a longer walk). Either way, watch for a meadow area with picnic table, where red and blue rejoin. When the trails spilt again, choose blue. You will come across an angled stump in the path, pointing at a maple tree. On the west side of the tree are two rocks. Squirrely buried her acorn under the smaller one between the large rock and the tree.
