Most people try to travel I-80 through Wyoming as quickly as possible because it is so boring, flat, and barren. Well if you would just stop to smell the roses...err..umm..sagebrush and stamp a few letterboxes, you might realize that Wyoming can be a very neat place! Unfortunately, there are very few letterboxes in Wyoming so lets get carving guys!!!
To find Polly The Pond Skating Penguin take Exit 6 into Evanston, WY.
Turn onto Bear River Road (towards town) go about 2 miles
Turn LEFT on Bear Parkway (Big sign with a bear on it-also you can follow the brown River Walk signs there)
At fork in road go RIGHT (Left is a dead end) near the train and under the over pass, park at the information center near the ice skating pond.
Follow paved path around pond towards the bridge. When pavement turns sharply left to go over the bridge, keep going STRAIGHT (Do not cross bridge).
A short distance later is a sign "Wyoming's Wildlife", left of that is a trash can. About 8 feet behind trash can are 4 upright tree stumps growing close together.
Polly is in between the 3 main stumps under debris and possibly snow. Please rehide well, this is a high traffic area!!!
