Update 3/09
Thanks to the finders who let me know they found only a piece of the box. I went to confirm and found one of the baggies; this spot has been disturbed due to digging in the area so I won't re-plant.
Oh, dear!
I seem to have lost my watch again. I was at that park where some of us were boxing together three years ago, just musing along and humming a little cowboy ditty, when my dog saw a squirrel. He chased it across the wide lawn to an odd circle of eight trees and started running around the trees.
Thinking it would make a cute picture I took out my camera but the afternoon sun was in my eyes. His barking was bothering the golfers and horses too, so I pulled him backwards into the canopy beneath a pine tree, and, walking backward, I tripped over a tree root covered with ivy. All the stuff fell out of my bag. That’s right. I’m pretty certain that’s where my watch landed. Luckily it’s just a cheap one, made of plastic... or rubber... If anyone happens across it please let me know. Thanks!
Please be sure to push the box securely into its nest beneath the ivy when you finish and cover it well with leaves and the ivy vines. This area is used for picnics and we don’t want it to disappear!
This box was originally planted in 2005 to thank Q, who organized the Old Zoo Gathering, and Buzzard, who found my watch for me when I lost it on the trails in the blistering heat that day. Thanks again to them both!
