Eight acres with a multi-use trail, picnic areas, animal sculpture playground, boardwalk for bird-watching, wetland ponds, and three horseshoe pits. Trail links with Spring Creek Nature Area to the north and Galatyn Park Plaza to the south.
Go to the preserve at 911 E. Lookout Drive. You can park in the garage of the Renaissance Hotel to the south of Lookout Drive. Walk to the entrance north of the hotel. Follow the cement sidewalk to the right. You'll cross a stone bridge. Continue walking. You'll see a sign that says "What is an Urban Naturalist" on the left, following by a wood bridge. After the bridge, you'll see a park bench. Walk another 47 steps (50-year-old lady steps). On the left, you'll see what appears to be a multi-trunk tree. The box is nestled where the trunks diverge.
