Alive and well 7/7/08

Go to Hume Lake

Go around Hume Lake past Shady Cove and park at the boat ramp on the opposite side of the Christian Camp

Walk to the end of the road toward the dam

Take the Hume Lake Trail down toward the bottom of the dam

When you get to the Iron Bridge Stop

Turn around 180 degrees and look where you've come from

There is a Large Boulder/Monolith on your Right at 2 o'clock

Now Look Left about 10:30 or 11 o'clock

See the Burned log peeking out from behind the Manzanita

Look under the log .... use a stick to scoot it out. Snakes in this area you know.

Please read disclaimer

Easy hike, paved except last few feet. Stroller and dog friendly. less than 1/2 mile hike round trip.

Bring your fishing poll and bathing suit

This is National Forest, but you must go through National Park to get here. There is a $10 fee to get into the park. Be sure to stop and see the General Grant Tree (second largest living thing on earth!)

This box will not be accessible during winter due to snow.
